Student Handbooks
Each student is given a student handbook upon enrollment at Mamie Lou Gross Elementary.  This handbook outlines our school guidelines and rules.  Below is listed some general information parents and students may need to know about our school prior to registering a student in the Camden County School System

Registration Information
Students must be five years of age on or before Sept. 1 to be admitted into the Kindergarten program and six years of age or older to be admitted to first grade. Required documents/health certificates needed to enroll students at Mamie Lou Gross Elementary:

Certificate of Immunization
          Hepatitis B series
          Eye, Ear, Dental (EED) Certificate
          Birth Certificate
          Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
          Social Security Card

** If immunization requirements conflict with religious beliefs, the parents must supply school officials with an affidavit stating that fact.**

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Students are not to arrive on campus prior to 7:10 a.m.
Students who plan to eat breakfast at school must arrive prior to 7:50 a.m.

Picture identification will be required when picking up a student early from school.
No changes may be made in transportation over the phone.  Parents will need to come to the school to pick up students or a written note sent to the student's teacher the day the change is to occur.
